What is Arthritis?
The symptom of pain, swelling, or stiffness with limitation of joint movement is called arthritis.A joint is an area of the body where two different bones meet. A joint functions to move the body parts connected by its bones.Itself it does not refer to any specific disease. It simply denotes the symptom of some joint disease.
What are the symptoms?
- Joint pain and progressive stiffness without noticeable swelling, chills, or fever during normal activities.
- Painful swelling, stiffness in the fingers, arms, legs, and wrists occurring in the same joints on both sides of the body.
- Fever, joint tenderness, and sharp pain, sometimes accompanied by chills and associated with an injury or another illness.
- Numbness or pain that gets worse while you are using your hand or wrist, especially when gripping an object with your hand or bending (flexing) your wrist.
